A nice band from austria that you might not know yet

Voilà, Go Die Big City!

I found this awesome band via a commercial and am really obsessed with them. So far they've only released a 7" and it's really hard to find something about Go Die Big City!. But you can still enjoy a nice track and two videos :)

2009 - my year in list(s)*

*Song by Los Campesinos - check them out!

As you may (or may not) know, I love lists. But I hate making them.

It's really interesting to see what others think/like, but putting the stuff i love in the right order is something I'm really bad at. I listen to a song/album/band and am really obsessed with it for a while. A few days after that I'm into something else....

BUT I'm going to list a few blogs that I heart:

Well, if you read my older blog posts you know that i loooove Jheri's blog.

Why I like it:
There are hardly any tunes on this blog that I do not like. This guy posts truly great stuff and rebloggs awesome music from all the other blogs i love.

2. Microphone Memory Emotion

This blog is written by Georgia.

Why I like it:
I always find new bands I didn't know before.

Other Blogs:

Of course, there are a lot of other great "blogs worth blogging about", I just picked some I enjoy.

What are your fave blogs?

UPDATE:

What I like about the other blogs:
Pretty much the same as mentioned above. You can find new music anywhere. But you only find great music on those blogs (and a few others)

UPDATE of the UPDATE:
Please take a look at the blog of my friend Susa, too:

SONIC YOUTH

Heyy guys...
I'm sorry that i didn't post anything for a little while. I don't think I'm going to post regularly anyways.

Here are some videos from SONIC YOUTH, probably the best grunge/garage-rock band in the world. They're 57+ years old but that doesn't mean they don't rock anymore.

LIL HISTORY:

The members Thurston Moore, Lee Ranaldo, Kim Gordon and former drummer Richard Edson started "The Arcadians" in 1981. After some drummer-replacements and changing their name to "Sonic Youth", Moore and Gordon married in 1984. They signed to (and released various albums on) a major label in the 90s. Sonic Youth's latest album "The Eternal" was released on the indie label Matador Records in June 2009.

Sonic Youth released 16 albums so far. Their live shows are really awesome and they prepare their guitars with drumsticks and screwdrivers.

again... new music

Another blog post about new music.
really new music. Only very few people blogged about this band, i think.

No-one tip toes the fine line around the crash of delicate dreamy hooks into bedroom bloomed amp distortion like Denver’s green fingered and heavy handed WEED DIAMOND. Dug up and buried beneath layers of morphine drip reverb are their still shiny jams – resonating warmly like an ode to the imperfect noise hit. --Transparent

UPDATE :: Mr Weed Diamond himself has offered up a collection of demos, so check them out here and get a little happier.
